The artist was in constant search for
new
artistic challenges. Her artistic career has
varied from charcoal portraits, sewed toy
animals to porcelain dolls.
The porcelain dolls came closest to her intensions, but were not exactly
what she aimed for. She wanted to sketch and form the dolls herself to
obtain the right expressions she was looking for. In an exchange-market
she discovered a raw material, which seemed to be what she was looking
for - the "Modelene" putty. After quite a few problems in the
beginning she got the hang of using the new material, and slowly she
achieved the results she was hoping for. Tips from various artists and
friends were extremely useful to Mrs. Beinlich. Due to this creative
cooperation with her artist-acquaintances she managed to bring her hobby
to perfection without further education.

"When I'm working",
she says, "all my
thoughts and my spontaneous ideas flows into my doll-babies. For every
new creation I'm as tense as ever over how the final look will be.
I found the portrait-dolls to be the ultimate
challenge. It demands an exact eye for shape and proportions to achieve
th exact image of the model. I always go to work with great enthusiasm -
only through my intense eagerness my portrait dolls can get their
radiant look.
I'm very pleased that my doll babies have grown in popularity. It's for
me the greatest recogniation - given by my customers and
audiance!"
